New banknotes will be issued from July 3, 2024. With this, various scams are expected.
The other day, a person pretending to be an employee of a financial institution in the prefecture asked,
"Do you have any cash at home?" They will tell you that you will be taxed if you have cash in your home because it will soon be replaced by a new banknote. There have been cases of people being defrauded of their cash or cash cards by saying things like, "Do you have any cash at home?
If you hear someone talking about "money or cash cards" on the phone, it is a scam.
If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and call the police.
